Name: Dee Byrne From: Kent, England In Blå Kongo: sax / backing vocals Background: Has been a freelance musician all over Europe, Dee toured for one year with a band called 'Tribe'. She came to Stockholm in June 1996 and played on the streets until she met some friendly musicians. Education: self taught, has learnt how to play through the experience of playing with 100 bands. Likes: Van Morrison, Aikido, skating on frozen lakes, reading inspiring books, "having cool conversations with cool people". Best gig: "when we played at Södertälje" Why?: " It was a really great gig but it was also a pain - Maria's car broke down and Maria C, Maria K and Johan got to the gig just before we were due to start playing. The public sat and watched us set up the equipment!" |
