Exergy Music We are a Swedish independent label. Exergy was founded by Åsa Eklundand Gabriella Marder in 1999 . From the start the label has had a very defined attitude towards the work-ethic and the labels output. In short, we wanted to release bands that we liked and thought should be recorded and noticed. It sounds like a easy feat but considering the average output from a major it suddenly all makes sense. This line of thinking runs through everything. In close contact with the artists, we have tried to maintain and encourage an open and creative flow between artists and the record company. The awareness of that free flowing communication can only strengthen the organization has made us work towards a stuation were everyone involved, bandmembers, producers and engineers, hopefully feel closely connected to the bands, the label and the music. Åsa Eklund has her own experiences from the record business from being the lead singer in the swedish pop-act Pineforest Crunch. Gabriella Marder has worked with several Swedish Hip hop acts at a Stockholm based label. Together we try to form a fast working, spontanieous and flexible organization. To be fast and reactive to what is going on around uss are key elements to every label. We try to be all that and more.
