The recording of the first ep.
During the first week of December Reminder started to record the bands debut ep aptly titled Reminder. The record was recorded in the Prestigous EMI-studio where many classic
Swedish and international artists have recorded before. Together with
Producer/engineer Fredrik Andersson the band set out on the 1st of
December to record the basic tracks for the ep. The songs recorded at
this time were Talk it out, Can´t Do anything about it, Tommy, Broken
Tone, Silhouette on the wall & Sad attempt.
Sad attempt didn´t appear on the first ep because of lack of space and a
deliberate attempt to create a mood that would function as a thread
throughout the ep. After the basic tracks ( drums, bass, Hammond organ & the occasional
electric guitar ) were recorded the material was bounced down onto a 12
track digital 
porta studio to be worked on at home. The electric guitars
and some of the percussion were recorded in the bands rehearsal-studio
at the time.
Some of the keyboards and percussion were recorded in Mattias´s living
room. Backing vocals were recorded in various locations, some at
Nicklas´s house, some at Anders.
In mid January the band returned to the Emi-studio to complete the
recording with acoustic guitars and the lead vocals. In February the
album was mixed and mastered in Emi´s B-studio.
