Reminder´s story aboute the Riga tripp

The trip to Riga was interesting in a number of ways. Playing to a completely new audience is often interesting but to play in front of an audience whos´s perception of popular music and culture is vastly different from your own poses interesting and stimulating situations. During the trip the band met a russian boyband, a guide who poured his heart and soul into his task of showing the band a good time, several journalists and musicians. It is hard to imagine a country were an original album by an artist costs 5 % of your monthly salary. A bootlegged copy about a tenth of that price. According to our new friends in the boyband Prime-minister the only way to make money is to tour constantly. It feels a bit odd to hear someone saying seriously that the audiences are a lot better in Kazachstan than in Siberia. Hopefully the band will find that out for themselves. During the trip the band appeared on a russian TV-show playing live for acouple 100 million viewers, quite mindboggling isn´t it.
